First, prepare a folding surface area for your shirt, such as a table or bed that has enough room to lay the shirt out with the arms extended. Button all buttons on the shirt.Lay out the shirt on your folding surface area, with the buttons facing towards you. Extend the arms out and smooth out any wrinkles with your hands.
Second, starting on the right side, fold the right sleeve inward across the body of the shirt so that the right cuff reaches towards the lower left side seam. The shoulder seam of the right edge should line up with the seam of the right side of the shirt. Smooth out any wrinkles with your hands.
Third, fold the right sleeve back on a diagonal below the shoulder area, and above the elbow area, so that the side seam and the sleeve seam line up. Smooth out any wrinkles with your hands.
Fourth, fold the right side of the shirt in half so that the side seam lays on the buttons in the middle of the shirt. Repeat Steps 2 through 6 for the left side of the shirt. Smooth out any wrinkles with your hands.
Fifth, fold the collar and shoulder down so as not to wrinkle the collar (approximately 9 1/2 inches). Fold the bottom or tail of the shirt upwards (approximately 4 1/2 inches) or until the fold reaches the bottom of the cuffs. Smooth out any wrinkles with your hands.
